HOLISTIC MOMS NETWORK NAMES NEW OFFICERS

Newly established Board of Trustees to lead HMN into a new era

[Caldwell, NJ] [July 6, 2021] – The Holistic Moms Network (HMN) has recently seated a new Board of Trustees and named three new officers to lead the organization. Andria Somers, HMN Executive Director, has led HMN through the transition of establishing a new Board that can expand HMN’s reach, fulfill its mission and purpose, and add more resources for the public to access. Ms. Somers explained the motivation behind the transition stating, “We want to become the go-to organization for those seeking out a holistic lifestyle, and for those already on their journey to a more natural life.”

Board Members include Barbara Arango, CAE, of Palatine, IL, Michael Connolly of Glen Gardner, NJ, and Megan Strauss, LMSW, of Salida, CO. Ms. Arango, a current Executive Director in the association space, has assumed the role of Chair. Mr. Connolly, retired VP-Treasurer of Tiffany & Co, was chosen as HMN Treasurer. Mrs. Strauss, a current Executive Director and Founder of a Colorado non-profit has been named Secretary.

“Support and community are so important, especially now. We are excited to bring our diverse backgrounds together in service to this amazing organization.” Ms. Arango stated.

HMN continues to look for additional talent to join the Board and grow the organization. Mr. Connolly added, “We’re always looking for individuals that are willing and able to help our small organization continue to impact thousands of families and reach many more.”

HMN serves the holistic community through local chapters across the country. Chapters bring holistic parents together through monthly gatherings, activities, playgroups and more. The national organization supports these local communities and provides additional partnerships and educational resources. “As a Board, we’re hoping to lend our expertise to grow our programs and provide additional resources to the community.” Ms. Strauss continued. “We have the potential to grow and serve more members and educate those that are just starting on their holistic journey.”

The Board of Trustees meets monthly to manage the business of the organization. These officers will hold a term of two years until the Annual Meeting of the Board in 2023.

  4. Balancing and integrating the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of being into everyday life.
  5.     Teaching our children to respect and care about the natural world.
  6.     Limiting our children’s exposure to advertising, marketing, and a consumer-driven culture.
